Experimental Study on the Influence of Homologous Albino Rats Skin Tissue-fluid and Pituitary Anterior Hormone on the Wound Repair Process

Abstract
The present studies were undertaken to evaluate whether the skin tissue-fluid (homologous albino rats skin tissue) influence the wound healing process or not.
We have employed albino adult female, healthy rats in these studies. The basic: preparation consists of such a rats with a 5.5 cm midline abdominal incision, which was made under aseptic: conditions and closed with interrupted through-and through.. suture of No. 0000 silk. The rats were divided in three groups, and each group observed in different days; 4th, 7th, 14th, and 21st operating days.
The first, control group was prepared with daily intramuscular injection of 0.1 ml saline and with no any other medications except simple, daily dressing and was-closed with a adhesive plaster to prevent self inflicted damage. to the wound. The .2nd,: `topically, applied group was prepared with once topical application of the tissue-fluid before wound closure. The 3rd, injected group was prepared as follow;
1) 4th day observed. group : 2 ml skin tissue-fluid intramuscular injection on the day of incision.
2) 7th day observed group : intramuscular injection (2 ml.) on the 1st, 4th, operating day.
3) 14th day observed group : intramuscular injection (2 ml.) on 1st, 4th, and 7th_ operating day.
4) 21st day observed group intramuscular injection (2 ml.) on 1st, 4th, 7th, and 14th,operating day.
The influence of the above tissue-fluid in wound repair were observed as 3 measuresnent of. the tensile strength by the modified. method of Meadow and Prudden.
The 4th, pituitary anterior hormone injected group was prepared with¡¯ same method as the 3rd. injected group.
The results are as follow:
A. Skin tissue fluid treated group:
1) At the 4th day, there were no statistical difference tensile strength from control group in topically applied groups.
2) The tensile strength was significantly increased at 7th and 14th day in skin tissue-fluid-treated group compare to control one.
3) No statistical difference noted at 21st day in both control and the other groups. B. Pituitary hormone treated group:
There were no statistically significant differences throughout the total experimented course from control group.
